CLASS 1 - WATER COLOR -Miniature watercolor painting is a highly detailed, small-scale form of painting using watercolor pigment. In this class you will be creating a miniature masterpiece of an indigenous flower to the state of NJ. You will learn watercolor technique on a miniature scale focused on precision building upon delicate layers of color. Because watercolor is naturally fluid and hard to control, working at such a tiny size will challenge your focus and free your mind!
CLASS 2 - CHARCOAL - Charcoal drawing is a classic art technique that uses burned wood (charcoal) to create rich, expressive images—most often in deep blacks, soft grays, and dramatic contrasts.
The result often feels raw, emotional, and immediate—almost like you can see the artist’s movement and energy on the paper.
In this series, you'll learn how to create a dramatic and atmospheric charcoal drawing inspired by the tree-lined path at Mill Pond in Forked River.
